then what is the use of the purchase line cost ?
what is the difference between Cost price in Item master and purchase line cost ?
Does it applicable to all costing methods ?( i am using FIFO )
The cost price on teh line is used to match the invoice and is used to UPDATE the item card on invoice, at the point of receipt the best FINANCIAL cost is the one on the item card. All costing methods are the same I believe.
Matching purposes invoice to receipt - it is the agreed price with teh vendor that should be on the invoice and flushed through financially.
