Open a database.fbk in Navision 5.0 SP1

Hi to all!

I m facing a problem with opening a database.

I downloaded dtatabase rom the http://dynamicsuser.net/media/g/database/default.aspx. NAV50SP1_RU_database_fbk.rar

I tried to open it : File/Database/Open ----> database name/ double clck to choose my database. Under the type of files what i can open i have Database Files(.fdb), i Choose All files(.*) in order to open my database.fbk. After I have chosen, i put my user name, password etc and press OK.

And then I see an error “The file is not database”.

Do you now another ways to open it? Or if I m doing smntg wrong, please tell me my mistake

.fbk is a backup file. You cannot open a backup file th way you mentioned. You first create a database (File → Database → New) and after the database is created you can restore the backup file (Tools → Restore). After restoration is completed you will have access to the data on the database.

I got an error while restoring

The backup is not a microsoft dynamics Nav backup

but, it’s a fbk backup only.

AFTER DOING 1ST STEP I GOT THE MESSAGE INVALID USERNAME AND PASSWORD
