Hi, I’d like to know how to handle this scenario in NAV/BC.
The routing process is to separate meat muscle and oil in purchased raw meat.
The removed oil (output) will be used as component in next routing process “cooking” with other ingredients.
in this case, input is one item-raw meat
output are two items- meat muscle and oil
example, if purchased raw meat is 1kg, output of meat muscle is 0.9kg, output of oil is 0.1kg.
can anyone tell me how to setup BOM and routing for mean muscle and oil?
thanks.
Hello,
I have seen this resolved a few ways:
-
By-products/co-products output is accomplished with process manufacturing APP/Add-on (i.e. Vicinity Manufacturing is one)
-
In the BOM of the 1 of the Items you are producing, you create a Negative BOM for the Components Oil. Then when this posts it create a Positive Consumption for the by-product, say Oil. Note that the Unit Cost will have to be setup as this will not pull the actual from the Production Order.
-
I read an article how someone solved this with a small customization. Here is the link: https://www.olofsimren.com/additional-outputs-on-production-orders/
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
It seems that no other workaround without customization.
thanks for help.
