Scenario 1:
We have a Production Order that has been Started and a Picking List has been created.
We will use the mobile device - warehouse management app to pick the items that are on the BOM for the Production order that they are working on. We happen to run out of 1 item (item on BOM) and need to use a different Item instead that is comparable. This Item part replacement can be done on the line and does not need any sort of approvals. Is there a way to pick the Replacement Item on the mobile device without having to update the BOM in the system?
We would like to see the new Item appear as Picked and then we would keep the original item and the picked qty is zero.
Scenario 2:
Is there a way to just pick items to a Production order that has no BOM at all?
These would be ad hoc items that are built to order but has no BOM. They use the items that that are available in inventory to build it with (using many different alternative items), but they want the items to be associated to that item and prod order and to reduce raw material inventory in that location.
