Not the same UOM

Hi!

Good Day!

The Purchasing, Sales, Inventory Department are using BAG, PAIL, DRUM as unit of measurement for their transaction. While the BILL of MATERIALS is using KG as unit of measurement of the same item. My problem is that there is no unit of conversion between this two UOM. When i used BAG, PAIL, DRUM in Purchasing, Sales, Inventory Department transaction, error will appear when i used KG in BOM. Error states that there is no available conversion from BAG to KG. How can i solve this problem? is there is any solution for this?

there is a conversion for this, you must enter in>> invenoty unit> go to main table> choose your unit of measure>> setup make conversion>> last tab in setup is example>> test it

I would recomment you do this from the item and setup button UOM conversion, the conversion in this instance is item specific and not global.

I follow you instruction. in item>>setup unit conversion>>Intra-class Conversion>> New

I select the Item Number, Factor is 1 Numerator is 1 Denominator is 20 from unit is Bag to unit is Kg

Error encountered: The from and the to units must belong to the same unit class.

Still i can’t do the conversion. Any mistake in what i did?
