NF 250 with large database on Windows Server 2003

I encountered a problem with NF 2.50. I upgraded my server from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003. (In fact the hardware was changed). The NF 2.50 Server serves 6 files 11GB of size each located on dedicated SAN. (In fact the database was enlarged from 4x16GB). After some houres of normal behavior the NF service failed with the following error in Event Log: Reporting queued error: faulting application FIN.EXE, version 2.50.0.1869, faulting module FIN.EXE, version 2.50.0.1869, fault address 0x001f601a Has anybody any idea what may be wrong? (Upgrade to Navision Attain in next month is planned).

What change did You do to Your HW? I can’t see why Windows 2003 should do any change.

The previous server was HP TC4100 (one processor/1GB RAM/Direct Attached Storage). The new one is HP/Compaq ML350G3 (two Hyper Threading processors/1GB RAM/dedicated Storage Server IBM FAStT 600). I made a Navision backup and restored it on the new server. Without any problem.

Have You tried to turn Hyperthreading off? It’s quite possible that You get serialization erros in RAM if the application doesn’t support hyperthreading. I have seen this with other applications than Navision. And if You do not run anything else than Navision on that server I would also recommend You to take one processor out of the machine at the same time.

Same problem here, on w2003 citrix servers sometimes the 3.60 client gives this error faulting application finsql.exe version 3.60.0.15069 did you already solved the problem??
