Does anyone ever tried an integration between Navision and Microsoft CRM? I heard that the product is very new on the market, but is supposed to become very powerful. My question: is it too soon to offer Microsoft CRM to a customer using Navision?
Maybe I’ve found a part of the answer… Microsoft CRM 2.0 will be integrated with Navision 4.0: fourth quarter of calendar 2004 or first quarter of calendar 2005 extra information: http://www.sonomapartners.com/articles/mbs-backoffice-integration.aspx I also heard that Navision CRM will be supported until 2012.
I understood MS CRM is shipped with a basic Bizztalk package. Integration should be possible then with every solutions being able to send and receive xml messages…

I think the word “basic” is the key word here. My impression now is that it would take a lot of work to customize an integration which is similar to the actual Navision CRM. Am I right to think that it’s better to wait before considering to sell Microsoft CRM with Navision?
The more I find out about Navision Relationship Management the more I like it. It is just so tightly integrated with the rest of the application. I can not even start to imagine the work that would have to be done to get the same level of integration using MS CRM. And then there is the extra cost involved in hardware and software… Even the guys who took the MS-CRM Installation and Configuration course I went on admitted to being impressed with Navision CRM. Does anyone know about the Navision integration to Microsoft CRM that Aston Business Solutions in the USA made?
Erik, No, not about an Aston integration. But I’m told that Watermark Innovation in The Netherlands (www.watermark-innovation.com) is selected by MBS to (co-)develop the MS CRM integration with Navision. They should be working on it right now.
Michiel, Thanks. But that’s not what I’m asking for. I know that MBS are working on an intergration, but with a deadline of Q1 2005, then it’s not very interesting.

Erik, My information is that it’s not scheduled for Q1-2005, but already in the first half of 2004. You should get in touch with people from Watermark Innovation to find out the details.
I think I will if that’s the case. Thanks.
