I recall there was a “Go-Live Tool” - either here in Downloads or somewhere on the net. It was supposed to delete transactional data, just as you need, leaving setup part intact. But you will need Partner’s license as minimum, because otherwise you don’t have enough rights to delete records from main Ledger tables.
Trying to perform such drastic cleanup directly in SQL is theoretically possible, but practically its not so easy at all, as you must clean ALL involved tables, otherwise you’ll be in BIG trouble very soon. Then don’t forget about Num.series, which must be reset, Registers cleaned etc, etc.
Expand database.
Create new company.
Open new Company.
Administration, Application Setup, General, Setup Checklist, Functions, Copy data.
Copies master data not transactions.
Other tables also need to be copied, I do not have definitive list yet.

Creating company like jsrark is referring it’s quite simple a effective. Using that simple method a person can create many companies in a simple morning and customer start working after lunch in those companies. [;)]
I wrote the original Go-Live Tool that is still floating around out there somewhere, though heavily modified by now.
BUT…
I wrote this in version 1.2 of Navision, and upgraded it to 1.3 and 2.0 of Navision fairly effectively. Then to 2.01 it was working and the last time I used it was in 2.60 where it started to be problematic.
Jsarks’s solution is much more effective with modern versions of Navision, and an order of magnitude safer.
Prior to 2.01, Navision was much simpler, there were no number series, and no item leder appliaction entries. Prior to Navision Solutions 3.00 there were no detailed entry tables.
So one tool worked quite simply onmost versions of Navision. Now each version has many new tables and many areas that need to be cleared out. So I now no longer use this method, and I do NOT recommend this ever any more in a production environment.
Thanks for all the input guys. Jsrark’s solution worked really well for thanks.
