NAV 2013R2 Upgrade to NAV2018

For one of our Customer we were supposed to upgrade to NAV 2018 from NAV 2013R2. We did the Application code upgrade to latest CU of NAV 2018 but I saw where in Microsoft is saying to upgrade to NAV 2018 CU 2 first. Is that really needed OR I can continue to the latest CU. Eventually we need to move to Business central. Please let me know your Ideas and Inputs?

Hi RWN,

My first input would be to ask why NAV2018 (v13) ? If the plan is to go on to BC, then v14 (BC Spring 2019 release) would be the natural choice. All BC upgrades needs to go via this version.

As to which CU, then I would always choose the latest CU.

From NAV 2013 they are saying to move to NAV 2018 CU2 and that was the confusion like why CU 2 why not the latest CU of NAV 2018 and then to BC v14.
