First, I would like appreciate the web admin / development of this site for the new cool face. I like this better, and very neat.
Come to the question, I have installed NAV 2013 and all components. There are many errors & warnings I’ve found, but I can address where to fix the problem. But, this one, I can not. I’m getting a warning:
Microsoft Dynamics NAV
The license information on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Database Server is invalid.
It happens both in RTC and Web browser. This is the screen capture:
Installation information:
Windows 7 Ultimate. SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 Express. Browser: Chrome, but it’s the same anyway in IE9.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, version 7.00.33781
Anyone has ever successfully installed NAV 2013 ever got this message? I’m only installing demo database, using Cronus license.
Thank you.
Yes, You have to update your license Under Voice of PartnerSource to use NAV2013…
You can upload Cronus License from Dynamics.NAV70.IN.1184336.DVD\RoleTailoredClient\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\70\RoleTailored Client and try
And make sure that you upload this license to the databases server: Tools > License Information > Upload…
thanx for your response Mohana & Luc.
… opening NAV 2013 Development Environment, then upload the license file from folder: (your path)\SQLDemoDatabase\CommonAppData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\70\Database\Cronus.flf - is this what you mean?
I did, but still fail.
I guess, it’s something like putting fin.flf to certain folder, but I can’t find what folder it is.
This path is from your DVD
Dynamics.NAV70.IN.1184336.DVD\RoleTailoredClient\program files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\70\RoleTailored Client and try
ah…! you’re right! nothing about copying flf.
I missed the step on restarting NAV Server service.
After I restarted … I can log in to RTC.
Here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd338774(v=nav.70).aspx
- Upload the new license.
a. On the Tools menu, choose License Information.
b. In the License Information window, choose Upload.
c. In the Upload License File dialog box, browse to and open the license file.
You should see the following message:
The Server license was successfully uploaded.
-
Restart the development environment to activate the license.
-
Restart all Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server instances on the computer to activate the license for other clients. For more information, see Managing Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server Instances.
Good to Here… [Y]
But still, you need to update your partner license under voice of partnersource…
