After quite a lot of work I finally have been able to get both my classic client and the RTC to create CRM interactions using Word 2010 templates for mailmerge with Outlook 2010.
But there are still a few issues.
-
I create an e-mail interaction with an e-mail template.
-
When I click Finish then it starts with “Transfering E-Mail data to Microsoft Word”.
-
Then it open a dialog box called Export and asks me to Save or Cancel a Word/DOCX file. I select Save.
-
This results in a new dialog box popup asking me “Do you want to open or save this file?”. I select save again and it prompts me for the file name. Again!
-
Hereafter Outlook prompts me: “A program is trying access e-mail address information stored in Outlook…
Allow access for …”. I select Allow access. -
Then finally I get: “A program is trying to send an e-mail message on your behalf…
Allow / Deny”. I select Allow and the mail is created. -
Back in the RTC, then the whole application is disabled and I need to close the client and open it again before I can continue.
I can see that the machine doesn’t close the WINWORD.EXE process. So the error might be here.
I would really like to know if anyone knows how to avoid these prompts.
When I’m using the classic client, then I’m only getting the Outlook prompts, not the Word prompts and here I don’t have to close the client.
