Nav 2009 SP1 license limitations

Hi
With my recent post I figured out, that my company license is probably not for connecting to the database with the roletailored client. I have no problem by connecting with the Cronus license.
Since my Nav partner thinks, that it might be a configuration issue, I ask you, if one need to re-configure (client- or server side) Nav as soon as connecting with a different license than the Cronus license.
Thanks for your information.

Patrick

With CRONUS license you can connect only to DEMO database - in fact, DEMO company, as this license does not allow opening companies with their names NOT starting with the word “Cronus” .

Ask them to stop thinking and gazing at crystal ball about the issue and at last start doing their job - whether it is a config issue or license issue (as I described to you in the other your post) they are in charge to solve it.

It will be difficult to solve the case through forum - we neither can see your current environment, nor have access to make adjustments, but for your Partner it is a 5 minute job.

you are right: The Nav partner’s answer wasn’t specific enough. I’ll write him right now.

Hi, finally I’ve got the answer of my Nav partner:

According to my Nav Partner the modules with granule ID 9000 (role tailored client) and 9100 (Dynamics NAV Server) are included by default, without having them to purchase (license purchased in May 2010).

Do you agree with my Nav partner, that the two modules are responsible for connecting with the roletailored client to the SQL DB?

Are there any modules I need to post in addition?
