MS SQL error while installing of Nav 2013 R 2 Demo

Hi!

I’ve been trying to install Nav 203 R 2 demo on my system. System specs are as follows:-

OS - Win 7 Professional SP1 (last updated on 23-Apr)

RAM - 4 GB

However, at the time of installation it gives me an error report that MS SQL 2012 express fails to install. I’ve gone through the system requirements and as per that system should be compatible.

Please help!

PS - Successfully installed on a Win 8.1 machine.

Is your Win7 x64 or x86?

I do not remember by heart, but IMHO SQL Express on Navision installationd DVD was x64 - that could explain why the DEMO installed seamlessly on Win8. Navision 2013 middle tier also requires x64 OS.
