Migration of native Database to SQL Server 2012

I have to migrate native DB of NAV 2009 to Sql server 2012.

Can anyone guide…?

Hi,

You can use the migration tool kit that is present in the navision product CD.

inside the toolkit. you also have instructions to upgrade.

That is the best possible way to upgrade to sql server 2012.

Basically you have to:

-run the migration-test to catch dates that are legal in native but illegal in SQL
-in native: create a NAV-backup (Tools → Backup)
-in SQL: import the backup into a previously created NAV-SQL-base.
