Microsoft Dynamics Ax

Hi, This is Rakesh. Recently i came to know about this ERP package. I would like to learn Microsoft Dynamics AX , But i came to know the there are two versions , i mean AX 2009 & AX 2012. So , my confusion is if we learn Dynamics 2012 without knowing Dynamics AX 2009, is it possible to understand the concept clearly. One more question is Can we get job oppurtunities if we learn Dynamics AX 2012 without knowing Dynamics 2009. As few people are saying that in INDIA AX 2012 not yet released. Please any one suggest me which version of dynamics need to learn for getting the jobs in INDIA.

Thanks & Regards,

Rakesh Kolli.

Technically there are more versions than just AX2009 and AX2012, but you really don’t have to bother to much with the older ones. A lot of things are exactly the same in both AX2009 and AX2012, but AX2012 did also some quite big changes.

In this moment, it’s really worth to know both, but it might be better to start with AX2012 - there is simply not enough people with the knowledge in the market. About India, it depends - many west companies have people in India working on their projects in AX2012 (including the company I currently work for).
