Microsoft access 2007 integration with Navision 2009

Problem with linking microsoft access 2007 with Navision 2009 some of the number fields come through as text fields - I have overcome this by using cdbl to convert to number in my queries but now some users in europe using european regional settings which use a comma instead of decimal point for number format and this seems to upset my queries.

How have other users dealt with problem of number fields coming through to microsoft access as text fields.

This is caused by Access not being able to handle the decimal precision supported by NAV. Create views to convert decimals to a precision that Access can handle and use these views to access NAV from Access.
