sir,
I am running static mastter plan
system generates planned orders
but ltr than i have to run dynamic master plan,
the result must be overrite,…static planned order must be canceled for that perticular item
but system generates same qty other order .,…how which setting will overrite but not add same qty orders, need urgent help
thanks
The plans are inherently different for key reasons. If you want the dynamic to overwrite the static then you must set the static and dynamic to be the same in the planning parameters. Alternatively when you run thr “dynamic” plan you could choose the static master and this would then update it. You have to apply the system capabilities to the requirements.

if both plans are same than what is the diff…
i have a sales order for item A say qty 100… max production qty is 10
i have run master planning (static) thot i have to perform this plan any way
but now i hav to change …system has 10 planned production orders of qty 10
now i hav run dynamic master plan system generates 10 planned production orders of qty 10
now total planned qty is 200
""The static plan does not change
until the next time Master scheduling is run."" its written in pdf master planning
pls guide
If both plans are the same there is no difference - which is what you want it seems. It will update the first 10 with the second 10 if the plans are the same. Why are you running it again? The purpose of the split between dynamic and static is to leave the plan static until the next run, the dynamic is used to make changes in teh interim, but you must manage this to avoid double ordering.
what if i dont want to work with that perticular static plan (planned orders)
do i have to delete all the planned orders manually…( which cant be possible )
Why are you running it again?
I am not m just testing but user will he has no idea actual scenariao needs the solution bcoz requiremnet can be changes any move ment
and when i am seeing overall planned orders the qty is just double
thanks

If you have two plans you have two plans, it is that simple - the working practice is to review the static and dynamic together. The dynamic is for changes to teh static but you separate them to keep them separate - for example purchasing need 4 hours to compose the PO to one supplier, they do not want this to be constantly moving. If hte business is dynamic constantly changing I would make these the same. You are not seeing double, you are seeing the same suggestion on two completely separate plans - if you chose to make for both that is the decision you have made.
