Master planning and financial dimensions

I am looking for the financial dimensions into my planned orders. However, I cannot find the field - I tried looking for it under Record info → Show all fields.

I’d like when I plan a production / purchase order which requirements come from a sales order line (the SO line has financial dimensions set), AX transfers the financial dimensions from SO line to the required orders. Is there a setup I need to make in order to transfer the financial dimensions from SO line to planned orders?

Hi there K. II,

In Planned order details form > Inqueries button select Requirement Profile you will be able to see the details(reference & number) of the Planned orders. Per my understanding, here you can only see the item dimensions not the financial dimensions as master planning caters the quantity and the period(dates when to manufacture, buy or transfer) [:)]

Yes, I know that I can plan on inventory dimensions (just I make sure that Coverage Plan by Dimension is checked in the Item Dimension group), but I’d like to transfer financial dimensions as well into planned orders, and respectively to production orders.

No there is no setup, it does not work like this, although you have dimensions on the sales line these are not necessarily derived from the item, and at the point of planning it is inventory-centric, at the point of purchase other finaincial dimensions maybe triggered from the vendor.

Yes, Adam, they are not derived from the item.

These dimensions are set manually on the SO line, but they are not transferred on the materials for the production of the item and the production itself. Even when I check the BOM in the production order, these financial dimensions are not set.

No this is not how it works as stadnard. To achieve this you need to modify it. You can activate the site-dimension link and this would then work (I have not tried it through in planning though) but it is only one dimension.
