Manual entry in Closing Date

Hello

I posted a closing journal and i need to set a dimension for the retained earning account entry.
All my entries have for example C31.12.08 for posting date.

I would like to create a new line in a general journal to set the good dimension value but i don’t know if i can type a date with C such as C31.12.08 ? Can anybody tell me if it will cause a problem ?

Yes you can. Even more - if this will be a year-closing entry, you MUST type C31.12.08. So navision distinguishes closing entries from normal entries, where needed - some reports, for example, and everywhere else when you see option Include/Exclude closing dates.
