Make to Stock and make to order

Hi all,

In the item card we have a Manufacturing policy, Make to Stock and Make to Order. so when we have to use which option. How it will impact on the planning engine when i run from the Planning worksheet

Make To Stock - when you have to deliver finished goods quickly, usually from inventory. You have to have a production forecast put in place based on anticipated sales.

Make To Order - demand is only recognized when a customer order is received. Some items can be planned for and put into production into advance, but other items will only be put into production when there is an order for them.

Hello Girish, how does this affect when I run a BoM calculation using Make to order vs multi-level? will the pricing be difference? Also there is an option according BoM line Type - what does this would mean when I run a bom price calculation?
