Make a negative inventory adjustment

How can I make a negative inventory adjustment. I ahve an order for which we discovered during the picking process that the system inventory is 1 higher than the actual inventory. I would now like to adjust the inventory for that location. I thought I can do that through Phys. Inv. Journal but I’m not sure how to use it.

I am using NAV 2009 RTC. Can anybody help?

You just need to create a normal Item Journal line pointing to your item, setting the entry type to “Negative Adj.” and enter the quantity of 1

Then post it.
