Linking G/L Entry to Posted Gen. Journal line

i would like to know how to link the above 2 tables by line no. ?

i tried to extract all the field value for both table, only able to link by document no, but G/L entry may have multiple line so we definitely need the 2nd link field but i don’t seem able to find any sequence no/line no for linkage. Please help.

Hello,

You are correct. You might consider using the G/L Register table as well. Here you can locate all the General Ledger Entries, by G/L Register. Then you have a filtered list of Documents you can then use the Document No. to filter against the Posted General Journal table.

Hi Steve,

do you mind to elaborate more? my journal having multiple line with different comments (this field stored in Posted Gen. Journal Line), i am having difficulty to link the journal by line)

There is a Entry No. field in G/L Entry which is unique for each line but this field is not available in Posted Gen. Journal LIne.
