Hello everyone, I have a problem in Navision 5.0. I have successfully created a report in Object Designer using my developers license given by Microsoft because we are Microsoft partner. The problem is whenever i import my clients license my they cannot access my customized reports, it always shows a message saying that they did not have access to the report even though they are member of the Super role. Appreciate your opinions and solutions thank you.

Check the permission range on the customer license - it’s normally in the range 50000 - 50099 and renumber your object to that range.
I already have my object numbered 50001, so that’s not the problem
Ok, but what is the customer’s permitted range? Have the permitted objects been assigned?
When a customer buys an object granule - say 100 forms - they buy the right to use 100 form numbers between 50000 and 99999, but they cannot actually use them until specific numbers have been claimed and assigned.
Sales people should know this, but they usually don’t! [:(]
can i see these information on the license file?
In the text license file they usually appear in the bottom
What’s the name of that part of the license?
In the very bottom you should find something like this:

Are you sure about that? I have never seen that info in the license-file when viewing in e.g. Notepad…

Anna is correct, when a license issues you get two files - one is the license file (for use) which shows the granules and a second file which shows the granules and object range assignments. Normally on a site you only have the licnese file so we have developed a form to read this information which you can download here
