If nothing else is activated you are not really tracking serial or lot numbers - you need to set up either the serial or lot tab correctly. As you have not defined the serial tab I beleive it is correctly letting you put anything in. If you set up serial numbers then the controls Nuno mentioned will take affect.

I have activated all checkbox less SN, no info. must exist field and now the systems makes a control about units in stock.

I think I know what you’re talking about…

I offer 10 uds. of an item (P1) and create the corresponding 10 item tracking lines (ITL001…ITL010), that’s ok right here but if one of this ten items is crashed I have to change the item for another new, for example the item tracking line ITL003 for the ITL011.

The real problem is that if I offer another 10 uds. of the item P1 and create the correponding 10 item tracking lines… it creates the serial ITL011…ITL020, but that’s a big mistake because item tracking line ITL011 was included in the previous offer, replacing item tracking line ITL003.

I don’t know how to solve this neither !!

Not sure if your issue is the same, can you say if it is still an issue. If it is perhaps a new post describing the issue would be more appropriate.
