What is the difference between Item Reclassification Journal and Item Journal in terms of technical structure?
I’ve checked the /post/ action of the Item Reclassification journal page, and it calls the /Item Jnl.-Post/ Codeunit. Similarly, the Item Journal also performs the same action.
However, I’ve noticed that the entry type in Item Ledger Entry for Item Reclassification journal is always /Transfer./ How does this happen?
I need to understand this because I’m working on a functionality where you can input a new expiration date in the Lot Information Card.
Then, with a click of an action, it will create the Item Reclassification journal and post it with the new expiration date for that Particular LOT in Lot information Card.
I’ve been stuck on this for more than a week. It would be great if some of you could lend me a hand on this one.
