What are the prerequisites for Item expiration dates? Is it just that the Item Tracking must be turned on?
Xan,
On the Item Tracking Code setup, in the Misc. Fast Tab, you have a few setups you can use regarding Expiration Date processing for that specific Item Tracking Code.
After this setup, on the Item card you can setup an Expiration Date rule that will be used when adding a Lot number.
Thanks,
Steve
it’s not always like that product will expire only after the warranty period finishes. sometimes their life may be short and expire before the date. in such a case we need to know the company’s refund and return policy. if we do not read the return policy we may face difficulties later. that’s why it is mandatory to know about the return policy before purchasing any product or lisence. if you are willing to know more about the return or refund policy you can go through the following site.

Thank you so much for the information. This is very helpful and just the right kind of information I’m looking for. There is always more than just the basic setups. The expiration dates are complex when it comes to things like warranties and return policies and gives me much food for thought. I will incorporate this into my analysis. I’m wondering if it would be best to create new Items with complex expiration dates and long term warranties? I’m thinking it would make the history easier to track. Thoughts?
