Is there anyway convert product to product master subtype?

Hi Gurus,

I work in AX 2012, in Product Information Management List Page is there any way to convert from Product subtype to product master subtype? what is the process while releasing the produt/ product mastersubtype?

You can not change the product subtype once after creating the product. About releasing - both the products of type “Product” and “product master” can be released to multiple legal entities by clicking the “release products” button.

when releasting the product masters to legal entities, you can choose which product variants need to be release. Here product variant is just an “Item dimension combination” in AX2009.
