Is there any way to test new security privilege

Hi all,

I have created a new menu item and assigned security privilege to it. Subsequently, I extended an existing security role and added this new security privilege to it.

Now I want to test if this new security privilege can work properly. But I can’t test it by logging in with a different account.

I heard that using a “level up for Dynamics 365" extension can Impersonating another user and be used to test whether the privileges of users in different roles are correct.

But the fact is, for unknown reasons, I am unable to use this extension in Edge.

Did I use this extension by a wron way? If I cannot use this extension to test security privileges, is there a better way?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That is for PowerApps and Dynamics 365 customer engagement (apps like sales, customer service, and field service). It doesn’t work for Finance and Operations.

What’s been easiest for me is create a new AAD user you can login as, create a new profile in edge signed in as that person, and then assign it the roles you want to test.
