Is AX 2009 to AX 2012 R3 CU8 Upgrade possible?

If possible please explain in steps?

If Not possible explain me the steps in another way?

if i upgrade ax2009 SP1(Source) to AX2012 R2 (Target)

After that, Can i upgrade AX2012 R3 CU8 in the target system itself?

Yeah you can go with the source to target model approach to upgrade from AX 2009 to AX 2012

And in-place upgrade for AX 2012 R2 to AX 2012 R3. FInd detailed explanation in the below link.

Note that you can upgrade AX 2009 SP1 directly to AX 2012 R3. If you don’t have a very good reason for splitting the upgrade to two separate upgrades, don’t waste your time and do it all at once.

Hi,

I am doing upgrade of Ax 2009 to Ax 2012R3 Cu8 in Contoso Environment.

Below are my queries.

1.) My application version is 5.0.1500.4570 and kernel version-5.0.1500.4570

i.e SP 1 and Roll up 7.

Is it possible to upgrade it in Ax 2012 R3 CU8?

  1. I am following all recommended steps as per Upgrade guide(MS DOC).

I have done steps in Source system and while doing target system part i got 2373 errors in Compilation( AOD upgrade checklist).Let me know if we need to solve this errors.

If anyone has any step by step approach apart from MS guide please share.

  2. Perform a code upgrade to make your code from AX 2009 working in AX 2012.
