Invoice journal, Accounts Payable.. error message: The Period for, does not exist

Hello,

I’m trying to Post a invoice journal with a couple of rows.

The date is set to: 2010-05-10, I validate the journal, and there is no errors, but when I try to post, I get the following error message:

The period does not exist.

The period is not open.

But when i check it out in the general ledger module, the period for 2010-05-01 - 2010-05-31 does exist, and is open, with periode code Normal.

Whereelse can I search for errors?

Hi,

Just checking has this issue been resolved. I am also getting the same error now. I am trying to post for 01 March 2012 and the same error comes up. The period is open with normal code.

Please let me know how did you manage to resolve this issue.

hi,

this problem occurs due to the absence of the date that u have specified

between the periods in period table…

so, u just go to GL > SET UP > PERIODS > PERIOD > Create a new fiscal year …

and specify the desired period …

thats it…

The periods were existing and were already open. We found out that the issue was because of some irrelevant code inserted by the developers which resulted in stopping all furture postings. The issue has now been resolved.
