Hi,

we’ve started to use inventory picks, then create the shipments and at the end of the day we run the post batch process on shipped not invoiced orders which is working great, however we want to use resources to invoice customers for carriage, but because you can’t pick a resource, when you confirm what you have picked and create the shipment document, the carriage resource line doesn’t get shipped and the batch post process does pickup that the carriage line needs to be invoiced as well.

Is there a work around to this issue?

hi,

you can’t ship a ressource. it makes no sense, you only can invoice it. so, although you create a ressource line in your order it will never appear on the shipment (report).

I know you can’t ship a resource, what I’m looking for is another way to process carriage charges to customers.

I could setup carriage as a non-stock item, but this is what you had to do on system 10 - 15 years ago, I was wondering if there was a better way to handle carriage costs.
