Is there any solution to integrate dynamics NAV with Tally… some companies are asking that can we integrate tally with NAV. because they dont want to use finance management in NAV, instead they want to use Tally for finance…and NAV for manage their other departments…
if any one know a solution, please help me…

I would have asked the client to stay with Tally or whatever system they want to use for Financials. Or would have listened and tried to clear all doubts they have on NAV financial capabilities.
Integrating it to a website or portals or some extensive system for CRM makes sense but not financials.

the customers are asking about the tally integration because tally is a very simple and easy to use software…and tally is very popular in india…a finance employee must have well knowldge about tally…most of the employees know tally… so that they can use tally as simple for accounting purpose, even if some employees resign from the company the forthcoming employees neednot have any special training…

they have lot of experience in Tally (may be 5-6 years experience )…So its simple for them . If they are work in Nav @ 6 months they will understand the power and flexibly of navision after then they will not ask any tally integration
so teach your customer. Now they are not aware on Navision .
If they are willing to continue Tally for what purpose purchasing Nav…?
I think otherwise Its a challenging effort for the developers…
and 50% wasting the time also…

actually the customer can only manage accounts in Tally. so that if it is a medium size organization, they will have other departmets like manufacturing, sales, purchase, hr etc. so that they should have a such kind of software to manage that things. so they want a powerful solution for that. the company may be presently using Tally it is very familiar for them. if Navision come, they can manage their entire business functions. i know that. if the could use tally for managing finace management and NAV for other functions means, the customer think that it will be very efective for them. but the input data through tally should be updated in the same database. if it possible,me also think that it would be a benefit for the customer. thats why i asked a solution.
please reply me if anyone has tried this previously or anyone has any experiense with the Tally integration with NAV.
So the customer wants to buy a financial system, but they don’t want to use it for financials? Makes perfect sense [:(]
