We have a client who have Navision installed on their network. We have supplied new laptops and need to install the Navision client onto these. However they have no installation media and the company that supported their Navision installation have ceased trading. I have hunted and cannot find anything to install with, and wonder if someone can point me to a location where I can source these from. They seem to be on a very old version - 2009 - with a version of 6.00.32012 and i assume that this is the installer that I would need.
Can anyone help us out with a link to some installation media for them.

Yes, it’s technically possible to install Navision 2009, but it’s not practical. Navision 2009 is 15+ years old and completely end-of-life. Microsoft doesn’t support it anymore, there are no security patches, and finding legitimate installation media is nearly impossible. Modern Windows (10, 11) has limited compatibility with 2009, and it poses serious security risks on modern networks.
If you have archived media and can work around compatibility issues, you can install it locally. But honestly, chasing 15-year-old software is risky and not worth it.
Better Approach:
Instead of struggling with 2009, upgrade to Dynamics NAV 2018 or Business Central Online. NAV 2018 is still supported with modern infrastructure and clear upgrade paths. Business Central is cloud-based and fully supported. Both are better long-term solutions than trying to resurrect Navision 2009.
