Importance of Model Architecture

Hi Friends,

Can you please tell me the importance of Model Architecture and the advantage of it from developer and the Customers perspective. I Couldn’t understand why Microsoft has introduced this in AX 2012

It has many important features, such as:

  • You have infinite number of models instead of just finite (and very constrained) number or layers
  • You can install several models into the same layer
  • You can uninstall a model from a layer
  • Models, unlike layers, have additional metadata, such as the version
  • They include more than what used to be in .aod files, such as labels

It gives you better control and much greater flexibility.
