Import items in AX-2009

Dear All

I want to import Item detail in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 through Excel wizard, but I don’t know which tables I should select to import data can anyone help me finding out how to select tables?

It depends upon your requirements, I suggest you go to the item record and the relavant area, right mouse click, select setup and note the table being called. As an example it could be one or more of these but not necessarily all of them or maybe more depending upon the data you need to map:

InventTable
ReqItemTable
InventItemLocationTable
InventTableModule
InventTextTable
DocuRef

No BOMs or routes here obviously.
