How to solve the 'There is nothing to post' error, When I post the sales orders?

Hi everyone,

I import sales orders via RapidStart. When I try to post shipment I get an ‘There is nothing to post’. When I get in sales orders and copy the sales line(s) and paste the sales line(s) again I don’t get an error. I export the sales header and lines and check the data again but I didn’t see any difference. How can I solve this problem?

Regards,

Gokhan

Did you entered Qty. to Ship in Sales Line?

Yes. I entered the Qty. to Ship in Sales Line. When I copied the sales line(s) and paste again I didn’t get an error. I couldn’t understand this issue.

It seems some values are not initialized.
Please copy the values to excel from sales line table before and after copy paste.
check the differences.

Hey Gokhan,

As a Standard NAV this error normally comes when you havent filled Qty to Ship/ Qty to Invoice. If you have done some custom code then it might be affecting. Check out the below link for in depth level understanding

Thank you for your reply Mohanna. I did in advance what you advise to me before I searched solution of my problem here. But tomorrow I will try again.

I read this article before. I populated Qty. to Ship field and Qty. to Invoice field.

Hi Ozkan,

Your problem may be involved insufficient of stock inventory. You should recheck your stock and try to post again.

Or in Inventory Setup, you can find field ‘Prevent Negative Inventory’, un-tick the field and try post the SO again.

Thanks.

Hi Hai,

I un-ticked ‘Prevent Negative Inventory’ before. After your message I re-check again but the field is already un-ticked. My problem start when I try to import the Sales Header and Sales Line via Role Center. When I post SO I get an ‘There is nothing to post’ error. But I can see the sales lines. I solved the problem by copying the line and then by pasting the next line and deleting the first line. Then I can post the SO. But I have a lot of SO. Is there another way to update the Sales Lines?

When I import the excel data I receive an error ‘You have changed Tax Area Code on the sales header, but it has not been changed on the existing sales lines. You must update the existing sales line manually.’ I checked the sales header and sales lines but everything is ok. I create a new sales orders by typing and export the sales header and sales lines. I compare the both excel tables I don’t see any difference.

Thanks,

Gokhan
