Dear Experts,
Hi
I have Created One Released Production which is having Routing Opertations 10,20,30,40.After Completion of 10 & 20 I have for Some Partial Qty(not Order Qty) i have force closed the Order and i want to send the remaining Operations i.e 30 & 40 for subcontrating, but when iam creating the Production Order for subcontracting i need to change the component to final Item No,since first 2 operations are completed ,but when i try to sent the Items to Subcontractor i will not get inventory in Location. How to handle this Type of scenerios Plz suggest me the solution.

Not easy as you are altering the manufactring mid-stream. Manually you could close the production order, book in the item, then manually remove it and book in the equivalent of the WIP item or unfinished original item, but you need to be careful with the costings, then you have a new production order with a different BOM and Route to handle the sub-contracting and WIP item consiumption. I would say there is no standard way to alter the direction of the production midstream from in-house to sub-contract and all the affects this would have, so if you wanted an ease of processing and flexibility to do this you would need to have a modificaiton to achieve this.
Dear Adam,
Thank you for the Solution, but to handle this type of scenerios ,Other ERP Softwares has also the same way of Process or in Navision only it is tough to handle this, bcas i have not seen the Other ERP Softwares.
You have to work with what you have not what you expect I am afraid. Just because NAV does not have one element does not mean it does not have one another does not. There are lots of areas of argument like this, what you need to do is make NAV work for the customer as this is the tool they have chosen.
