How to export a report to excel??

Dear all,

Some reports in NAV 2009 couldn’t be exported to Excel directly , I read in some posts that we can enable this feature to all reports , Can any one tell me how to do that?

Welcome to DUG.

Are you using RTC or classic?

If it is RTC, if your report has CurrReport.PREVIEW then the export options will be disappeared…

You have to manually write code to export reports to Excel…

  • I imported the “obf” into Nav it creates a report called " Export to Excel Example"
  • when I test it it creates a separated excel workbook for each customer without any further data
  • when I tried to import the text file I got an error message " you don’t have permission to export the text file…" ( even though I’m super user on the system )
