How to enter value on Fixed Assets Register.

Hi All,

Please note an entry relating to Vehicles have been made on General Ledger.

When we try to put that asset on Fixed Assets Register, it does not allow me to put enter the amount.

Can you advise on the same please?

Adding value to existing FA can be done in 2 ways:

  1. In Purch.Invoice, choose type=FA, select your FA, and choose FA Posting type (Acquisition or Maintenance);
  2. do the same in FA G/L Journal.

If you already have posted the additional cost to GL somehow, not following the methods above, you can not add these later to FA, you need to reverse these entries and redo the postings correctly. (if this was not done through journals, but documents, you may need to use CreditNotes to reverse the initial entries)
