Can any body tell me how to assign Pictures in Item of Purchase Order Line…

I created a field in purchase line which will take reference of Item field (Picture). I import the picture for specific item from Item Card form but when i want to show it in purchase order its showing only * in that…

How did you import from item card?and what do you mean by reference?

I went to Item Card Form 30 in Item Menu Tab > Picture> Import …

then specific .bmp format picture will assign for that particutlar item.

then i went to No. Validate trigger on Purchase Line table and added following code on Type::Item :

validation code

“Picture For Item” := Item.Picture;

After that i went to purchase order and create order for same item then “Picture For Item” is showing only * in field…

Use CALCFIELDS(Item.Picture).

What about showing the Picture just like in Item Card?

via Purchase Order–>Line–.Item Picture

You can use same form as in Item card.

where did you show Picture for Item field in Purchase Order form?

Dear Amol,

I am not taking flow field because in BLOB datatype there is not any option of Field class i am just copying the [Item.Picture] field into [Purchase Line.Picture For Item], In record level of Purchase Line

Check How picture on company information page/form is displayed…

Can you explain the point of this?

Do you want the user to be able to view a picture of the item from the purchase order?

Can’t they just drill into the item No & from their go to Item->Picture?

is “picture of item” a new blob field you added to the purchase line table?

How about adding a Field called “View Pic” to the Purchase Line table Type Boolean.

OnValidate add

Item.SETRANGE(“No.”,“No.”);

FORM.RUNMODAL(346,Item); //form 346 being “Item Picture”

then you just have to click the field to pop up the form.

You can even expand it to have a check mark or not depending on if a pic exists or not.

It is same as adding Item Picture in menu Item…may be we dont need a field for this…

But with help of it user can view the images that what items he or she is posting.

yes, the same code suggested by savatage can be used under menuitem…

Its fine that you got solution…but you can give it a try too…
