When using forward flushing + routing links, you want to consume (flush) components at the start of an operation. But how do you start an operation?
All I can figure out is how to END and operation by going into Output journals and registering your output. But how do you start and operation so you can consume components at the start of an operation?
Hi RedFox,thanks! I had a look at the consumption journal, but would you know how that would work? I don’t see any way to start an operation? Thankful for any response. Thanks.
This is what the NAV documentation says about the Forward flushing method:
“By default, the posting of component consumption occurs when you change the status of a production order to Released. However, if you use the Routing Link Code field on production order component lines, then posting occurs per operation when the operation starts.”
My question then is “how do you start an operation”?
it’s written by Peik Bech-Andersen and have been working with Manufactoring for many years and decided to write about the Manufactory module. I would say it is the best and fastest way to learn how to use the module correctly.
There is no action to “start” an operation. SImply put, if you use routing link codes, there is no difference between forward and backward flushing - both components will be consumed when the corresponding routing operation is posted in the production journal.
