Hooking new report version to button

I have just made a change to a report. I’d like to rename it to include a version number. After I migrate it from the test server to the AOS, how do I make it so that when the CRM->Sales Quotation->Inquiries->Quotation->Show->Original link path is clicked, the right report is opened.

Kind of like linking a report “Button” to the new report

Creating a new copy and changing all reference to a report just to got versioning doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. I would strongly recommend using a version control system (MorphX VCS or TFS / Visual Studio Online).
