help for fontname in report design

I try to change the fontname in report designer, but there are no font select diaglog, even I type a fontname like “courier”, but nothing happen. thanks for any help!

The font needs to be installed on the computer and you need to type it exactly as it appears.

For the correct names look in the windows configuration panel/fonts. I hope this will be ‘fixed’ to in Navision’s next version! Anolis Sittard Netherlands

Yes, I installed and type name exactly, but nothing was difference. by the way,I even can not find “Helvetica” font in my computer!

Hi, Helvetica is not a font. It is an alias. You can set any font in the alias definition in the REGEDIT. Just try to find “Helvetica” in the regedit and change font name (as default it is Arial). It will change font for all reports. User can change report font before printing. You need got to page setup before printing and select font. Navision will remember last font and you do not need select it every time. You can change font for one field in the report. You need to type font name in the “FontName” property of the field. If nothing happens on the screen you type it wrong. Valentin Gvozdev BMI Inc.

I got it, Thank you very much!

Valentin: To be more precise: you have to edit the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fontsubstitutes\Helvetica Thank you for that hint that saves me a lot of work. On the other hand I couldn´t realize your second hint, users can change the report font before printing going to page setup before printing. Could you be more precise? I could not reproduce your tip. 1. does it only work with windows nt or do i have to insert this key to windows 98 to use it where the key isn´t present.

In Win95/98 you will find the font substitution in WIN.INI:

[FontSubstitutes]
Helvetica=Arial
