Crimsonwing, Malta’s largest privately owned provider of IT software and services, has completed two European acquisitions: Promentum Holdings headquartered in The Netherlands, and the media and publishing business of Peracto Solutions, based in London. Both Peracto and Promentum are specialists in Microsoft’s Dynamics ERP Solutions and have years of experience implementing Dynamics products in Holland and the UK. With these acquisitions, Crimsonwing strengthens its expertise in the area of Microsoft Business Solutions in Europe.
Following these acquisitions the Crimsonwing family will be operating with 180 staff across five European countries, and with annual group revenues in excess of £8 million.
Promentum Holdings is a Microsoft Gold Certified Dynamics partner based in the Netherlands operating currently as Promentum BV, Promentum Academy BV and Promentum GmbH (Austria).
René Heilig, Promentum director, sees very strong opportunities for growth: “In Crimsonwing we have found a partner who combines first-rate knowledge of Microsoft technologies and products with a fantastic nearshore competitive capability, and who has a strong focus on quality, just like Promentum.”
Peracto Solutions Ltd is a Microsoft Gold Certified Dynamics partner based in the UK and provides a significant portfolio of integrated end-to-end finance and business applications. Peacto director, Jaap Schram De Jong joins Crimsonwing to run the acquired media and publishing vertical. Jaap brings with him a wealth of experience that will further develop the Microsoft Dynamics business unit within the Crimsonwing Group.
Commenting on the acquisition Jaap Schram De Jong, now Crimsonwing director, said “Having reviewed the existing strengths of the Dynamics team that services our Printing, Publishing and Advertising clients, and the current strengths of the Crimsonwing Dynamics team, this transfer allows us to build on the strong Dynamics foundations to further strengthen our position as a leading Microsoft Gold Certified partner and preferred supplier to the media and publishing industry. In addition, the broader Crimsonwing expertise in E-commerce solutions and bespoke system development, allows us to provide far broader and efficient solutions to our clients.”
David Walsh, Crimsonwing CEO sees the acquisitions as the strategy for Crimsonwing growth and commented: “Since investing in Malta over 10 years ago, we have built a very strong business model for delivering and supporting high quality, enterprise level solutions with very high returns on investments. Companies like Promentum and Peracto see the enormous benefits of being part of our story. Together we can deliver greater capability and reach. Both acquisitions bring to Crimsonwing very high quality management teams and consultants. The integration issues are minimal and the synergies very tangible. We are looking forward to further increasing our capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics and our other propositions.”
