You can have multiple Exchange rate types (this is assigned in Ledger - specific to company)

Does the both companies using the same exchange rate type (or) you created the new exchange rate type and assigned to another company Ledger?
Let me rephrase my question - Requirement is not to have shared Exchange Rate between the companies.
yes I have tried setting up new type and then changed the company to see if the new exchange is available and it is present under the newly created type.
Exchange rates are shared across the companies, but you can create multi exchange rate types with different exchange rates and use them for different companies.
Where do I set the company specific type?
Exchange rate types are also shared across companies, but what(default) is assigned to Ledger decides the exchange rate in that company.
