Hi, we have the problem with crashing server-connections. Sometimes, the server runs about three weeks without problems, then it crashes two times a day. Server-processes are still alive, but there is no connection possible from client. The server is posting ‘error 957 in modul 1’ and client-process is cut. Most time, it happens, when we are looking for a invoice-number or for an amount in a customer-account. Sometimes it happens during export of data. Server: HP9000 with HP-UX 10.20 - dual-processor-machine Is there somebody who knows anything. Special with more-process-machines. Thank you for answer. Matthias Geywitz System-Administrator
Hi, I sow similar problem. The problem was in corrupted data. If I remember some Boolean fields contain integer values 16326… instead yes or no. It was very difficult to found all such records because every time when system read such record Navision shutdowns. We had this problem in Vendor Ledger Table. We had such problem only once after emergency switch off power on server and I sink write transaction not saved correctly. The problem is you cant read such record from database if form has corrupted fields but you can use CTRL-F8 to see field values. You need delete such records and recreate them manually.
