Hi. New User to Navision Attain 3.60. When installing client software under Windows 2000 Professional, as the local administrator, getting error 1706 when try to run from the shortcut created in start menu. When create shortcut directly to fin.exe it works. But then, when try to integrate with MS Office 2000 (e.g. export to Excel), get Windows Installer displayed, then same error… Pretty sure it is a permissions thing as it works okay as local or domain administrator. Anyone have any experience of this problem?! Would appreciate any help! Thanks
Hi, try to have a look at Microsoft KB article 258847. There is nothing about Navision, but it seems that the problem is bound to MS Installer. I followed recommened solution in this article, and the problem has been solved.
