Email address not showing when I add this column to opportunities list

Hello, I’m using Dynamics - Sales (CRM). I opened “All Opportunities” list. I want to see the email addresses and contact names in the opportunities. I edit the columns and add them to the end of the column list. I can sometimes get contact name but email addresses are always blank. Anyone seen this? How to resolve?

Are you choosing “Related” when adding the columns and choosing the Contact record? Then add email and contact name. The contacts that have blank emails, have you confirmed they indeed do have an email filled in? Thanks!

Hi Tim, thanks for the fast reply. I took another look and I’m sorry but I don’t see where to select “related” either in the columns list or elsewhere on the list of opportunities. Can y ou please give me a pointer? Thanks so much. And yes I’ve confirmed that emails are in the opportunity/contact record.

Hi Kelly,
I asked copilot, which I’ve been using a lot lately.
Assuming you’re editing the out of the box “Open Opportunities” view:
To add related contact columns to your open opportunities view in Dynamics 365, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Advanced Settings:
  • Go to the settings gear icon in the top-right corner and select “Advanced Settings.”1. Customize the System:

  • In the new window, select “Settings” > “Customizations” > “Customize the System.”1. Find the Opportunity Entity:

  • In the solution explorer, expand “Entities” and find “Opportunity.”1. Edit the View:

  • Under the “Opportunity” entity, select “Views.”

  • Find and open the view you want to customize, such as “Open Opportunities.”1. Add Related Columns:

  • In the view editor, click on “Add Columns.”

  • In the “Add Columns” dialog, you can select fields from related entities. For contacts, you might need to navigate through the relationship (e.g., “Contact (Primary Contact for Opportunity)”).

  • Select the desired contact fields (e.g., “Full Name,” “Email,” etc.) and add them to the view.1. Save and Publish:

  • After adding the columns, save the view.

  • Click “Publish All Customizations” to apply the changes.
This process will add the related contact columns to your open opportunities view, allowing you to see contact details directly within the view.
