Edit the Item Card

Hi,

Sorry for a basic question.

I want to edit the item card so Description 2 shows.
I have done this for the classic client and it worked very simply.

I now need to edit the item card so the additnal text box shows in the RTC

How can this be done please.

You have two options:

  1. Transform the Item Card form to the Item Card page
  2. Update the existing Item Card Page by adding the field to the page in design mode; insert it after Description field (see screen shot)

If you already have a Item Card page in the database option 2 is best.

Do I go into classic mode, goto object designer, and find he item card form ?

Hi Greg,

You are on the right track, but instead of finding the item card form, then you should find the item card PAGE. All the “forms” on the RoleTailored Client are called “PAGES” and are edited from the Page Designer. Luc’s picture above is from the Page Designer.

  1. Open Classic client

  2. Tools>> Object Designer

  3. Pages>> Item Card

  4. Press the Design button at bottom

  5. Do as shown in Luc’s picture.

You can do this from Classic Client. Go to object designer - Pages. Select the Item Card Page - Design and do as Luc suggested.
