We have just upgraded to 2018. We see that we cannot edit the Due Date in Customer Ledger entries any more. There is Editable setting in the field properties, page properties or the table. Users have sufficient permissions. This was possible in 2013. What might have changed? I see the “Edit” icon on the ribbon is greyed out.I could make an action from the Ribbon to allow changing it, but would prefer the non-development approach if possible.

No need to edit anything. The field is still editable. Just click the field and change it.
And you are right, the “Edit list” is grayed out, because you are in Edit mode. I guess you also see a “View List” button, which is not grayed out?
It looks like we will have the same problem as OP. In NAV 2013 R2 when viewing Customer Ledger Entries, if we click Edit List it opens in a new window and the Due Date can be changed. I have 2018 (currently on build 11.0.19394.0) for testing purposes and can’t seem to get the same behaviour. Even if the list is in Edit mode the Due Date field is read only even though, as OP states, both the table and page definitions seem to show it as editable. I haven’t found a way to get the list into a state where the functionality is there. My company do have to change them from time to time as the payment due date can terms may be based on Bill of Lading date and that isn’t necessarily known at the time the invoice is posted. We’re not ready to upgrade yet but this is something that if not easy to resolve will have to be on my radar.
I do not have that problem, I can edit in Due Date in CLE and VLE entries as always possible (NAVW111.00.00.21441).
Check if the Editable property of the Due Date field in the page (and a bunch of other payment related fields) are set to TRUE (default), whereas every other fields are set to FALSE.
If that is the case, then which client and which localization?
Thanks all for the answers.
So I had another look. If I go to the ledger entries directly, Edit button is greyed out, there is no view button, and I cannot even click into the Due Date field.
If I go first to the customer list, then open the ledger entries Edit List icon is grey, a View List icon exists but is also grey. I can then click into the Due Date field, but not change it at all.
I have confirmed that the editable property is set to Yes on the field itself and the page group. ModifyAllowed is set to yes in the page properties. Also the field in the table is et to Editable as Yes. So really lost on why this would happen, and it feels like an unintentional change in the client causing it. My executable version is 11.0.23019.0.
In that case then have you looked at the permissions? Check with another user, you could even try to change you profile.
The version is the same as the one I tried, but which localization? Is the page customized? And do you have the same issue on the vendor ledger entries?
It’s a bug that are fixed in CU 7.
Read more about it here:
Serach for: PAG 25 PAG 29
The functionality Works with a developer licens but not with a Customer licens.
Aha! That would explain it. We are planning to merge in CU7 so that should take care of this. Many many thanks HelleChr

Alternative you just have to give page 25 modify permission to table 21 and page 29 modify permission to table 25 and it’s fixed.
